Kateřina is an architect that started her career as a teacher of Experimental design studio founded together with prof. Achten in 2010. She aimed at manufacturing students projects and exhibiting them in public spaces specializing in plastic bottles. She designed many public installations and then created the PET(b)ric specially shaped bottle for construction. In 2015 with Šimon Prokop founded PETMAT. PETMAT is an NGO and a research group at Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University of Prague. PETMAT was created in July 2014 in an Experimental studio at the Faculty of Architecture, which has a tradition in using garbage as a building material since 2010. PETMAT is focused on pilot projects in terms of plastic recycling methods through 3D printing, raising public awareness and generating pieces of art and design that investigate the use of recycled PET in architecture. PETMAT collaborates with many partners, such as the Muzeum Jindřichohradecka, Umění ve městě, CTU publishers, Plzeň 2015, NTK and many more.
