Byzantine Chant – the classical music of Greece, with Dimitris Koubaroulis

Ouzo Talk returns for season four with a deep-dive into the world of Byzantine Chant. With the help of Byzantine Chant expert Dimitris Koubaroulis, Tom and Nick have all their questions answered about this unique form of music, which while most closely associated with the music and sounds of the Church, is an art-form all its own that has not only influenced modern music, but has also helped to record and preserve the music of other cultures. There's more to Byzantine Chanting than what you grew up hearing in Church – in fact, it's a tradition of music that stretches back to ancient times. Mandatory listening for those interested in music!
