This is a topic I’ve done a complete 180 on. I used to be the google calendar friend, the one who’d ask ‘are you free next year July? I’m in your city on the 15th, let’s go out for a coffee!’ and I’d fully expect you to accept my calendar invitation. Nowadays it’s a 50-50 whether I’m willing & able to meet *in an hour*, let alone a year. The tables did turn indeed, so being the Whenever friend in a country of Google Calendar people was *interesting* to say the least.
