At summit, EU leaders warn Ankara of sanctions

EU leaders met in Brussels on Thursday to discuss a number of pressing issues, with the focus being on Turkey. Discussions lasted into the early hours of Friday, with leaders reaching an agreement that assured Greece and Cyprus that the bloc would punish Turkey if it continues its provocations. This paved the way for the EU to also impose sanctions on Belarus. 

Yiannis Palaiologos, Kathimerini and SKAI TV’s EU correspondent in Brussels, joins us from Brussels with his analysis.
