Greece seeks arms embargo, halt to EU-Turkey customs union
This week Greece stepped up diplomatic efforts to mobilize its European Union partners against Turkey, as Ankara continues its provocations in the Eastern Mediterranean near the Greek island of Kastellorizo. These diplomatic steps included a call for a halt on military exports to Turkey, a potential reevaluation of the EU’s customs union with Turkey, and an appeal for solidarity in line with the bloc’s mutual defense clause.
