Today we’re heading to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, where HALC teamed up with the Metropolis and Chicago CRED to deliver roughly 4-6 tons of food donated by our local Hellenic community to the South and West sides of Chicago. HALC chairman and former Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, Greek-American sports anchor and one of the owners of Avli restaurants Lou Canellis, and his Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael are on the ground with us to share their insight.
